Backstory
Antimony lives in a small house on the northern outskirts of Emon, not far from the shore. She mostly keeps to herself but visits the city from time to time. She works as a treasure hunter who finds and scavenges treasure from sunken ships. Emon has dangerous cliffs and a rocky coastline, so ships approaching at night from the wrong direction or path can often hit submerged rocks. There are also large sea monsters in the ocean such as Kraken that will sink them.
She has a small pram to get to the shipwrecks and to carry the loot back to shore. She uses her familiar to help scout and find them, then use her cartography skills to record where she found them at.
She primarily sells her wares to an antique dealer Harlo, a Loxodon. He handles reselling the stuff to other people. He has also, on rare occasion, been the liasion between Antimony and a rich person or captain who is looking for a shipwreck to try to recover a specific item/shipment from it for them. Antimony and Harlo respect each other and try to give each other fair prices. She saves her price haggling shenanigans for other merchants.
Antimony is a hexblood and is the result of a bargain made by her parents and a sea hag named Shoddy Loraine Rootwallow. Her parents wanted a child and they did not realize Shoddy Loraine was a hag. When Antimony was born, Shoddy Loraine took her from her parents. Antimony isn’t a full hag, as she wasn’t eaten and birthed as a hag, but was instead raised by her human parents until she was about 10 years old. At that point, she was starting to look very clearly hexblood and weird. She has a light purple skin tone and horns, so will often pretend to be a tiefling though doesn’t have a tail.
Her parents are Alexi and Lisbeth Dawnfyre. Alexi didn’t like that she was a weird kid and so, without her mom knowing, kidnapped her and brought her back to the hag who lives in a cave along the coast. Antimony’s age and skill with magic prevented her from being eaten. She was raised by Shoddy Loraine. She likely could have ran away from home but she saw that she wasn’t wanted, so didn’t want to go back.
